Paradise Found

Five Single Ladies taking a trip to paradise. 4 are just starting to really enjoy the single life, and 1, the bride to be, is ready to close that chapter of her life and begin a new book entirely...


For the bachelorette shower of our good friend, we decided to go to Boracay - Paradise now. Hardly anyone on the white stretch of beach. I remember "BORA" (fondly called by Filipinos) in the 80's, pristine, untouched and so beautiful. This trip resembles a little of that paradise etched in my mind from childhood memories long ago. 


While having Apple Cinnamon tea with "Calamansi" Muffins at a hidden breakfast nook called Real Coffee, the fab 5 (that's what we call ourselves, I know corny) started talking about our favorite topic - MEN. But surprisingly, now its different, its about how we can actually live WITHOUT them. 


Since we have new technological discoveries like IN VITRO FERTILIZATION, the latest age we can give birth is in our 40's and we can do it alone! Well, we just have to choose a hot intelligent donor - like maybe Chris Hemsworth. I'm hoping by that time there are tubes of him for sale. It is so awesome that we can choose what to do with our lives. To have that freedom to be who you want to be and also have an option for maybe having children someday - but not now.


I attended my 10th year high school reunion a few years ago... It said on the profile sheets we had to answer:

After skipping all the spouse crap, a section below reads:

I answered happily : SPOTTED AND HAIRY


I feel sad for the batch mates that believed in getting married early and that having children is their ultimate calling in life. 7 out of 10 of those women are now either separated, divorced or annulled and trying to find their purpose, their next step. If you get married when you are a bit older, you are more mature for you and your partner. And you know who you are entering into the relationship now, and your partner should also know what he's getting... So he doesn't complain in the end! Hahahaha!


It feels great to have this trip with the girls and rediscover paradise. Paradise not only meaning Boracay BUT also the paradise of finding what makes you love this life you have now. Be it being single or finding your prince charming. 


5 single ladies, 4 excited to make their single lives matter. 4 of us are giving our full support and love to the first to take the next step... And the 1 single lady who will start her next journey, the journey of Marriage. 


We will be here for her every step of the way. We will be here to make sure she will be part of the 3 out of 10 that live happily ever after.
