GIA

This is a poem to my beautiful GIA
Whose long loving arms I run to in the midst of pain
Whose calloused cold fingers comfort my tear-stricken face
She is the beauty I will never forget
An inspiration who touched my life
But left me with one regret
So young, so fast, too late
She left us to suffer
To live a life without her
When I’m curled like a fetus distraught and panicked
Who will gently cradle me and whisper tenderly
I forever thought you would be here till I die
I forever thought you would love till the end
My one regret is never saying goodbye
I never thought that I would lose you this soon
All I can do now is cry
Now I see the truth behind taking life for granted
And the people who live in it
So I write this for losing, living and loving
To my dearly departed beautiful GIA
Born to rule the world
Died at 30

I wrote this 3 years ago, months after my cousin Gia passed away. This sunday 9-11 is her Death Anniversary. We miss her so much.

  1. This is really sweet, had a dream, she was happily running around golden fields :-)
Whats a song that reminds you of her the most?
